Finally, our short account on Vinitaly 2012, a fair which has brought us success and lots of satisfaction. Yes, there were all the problems of which everyone has spoken in the last few days, such as those with the internet connection or with the phones, completely isolated for hours. And also, with reference to our pavillion, we did pay for the closure of gate D and the consequent decrease in visitors in our area of the fair. Indeed, there were some problems but at the same time we’re convinced that the work of a fair starts before, and even if in the Maremma Wine Shire pavillion there were fewer visitors than in the other more “popular” pavillions, we were very happy to receive the visit of many foreign buyers and to meet the network of agents who have been helping us to distribute our wines in the restaurant and hotel channels across Italy.

Vinitaly is the occasion to create a direct contact with partners and collaborators, to look the other person in the eyes and – of course – to taste the wines. If one adds to this the fact that the first orders were taken while the fair was taking place, on top of what will need to be done to materialize the contacts with the various importers met, our satisfaction is certainly understandable. Even more so when thinking of the excellent feedback we received for the new vintages, including the Morellino di Scansano Roggiano Bio which, on its second year of production, has been given increasingly positive comments, in addition to those received by the brand new Maremma Toscana Doc Capoccia and the Viognier.
Our biggest satisfaction comes from the knowledge that we have taken the right road. And now we only need to roll up our sleeves and get back to work.
